Taiwanese hospitals are integrating NVIDIA's AI and robotics technologies, enhancing medical diagnostics and workflow efficiencies, according to NVIDIA. Top hospitals collaborate with system builders to tackle healthcare challenges.

Taiwanese medical centers are at the forefront of healthcare innovation, employing NVIDIA's cutting-edge AI and robotics technologies to address significant industry challenges. As reported by NVIDIA, these advancements aim to improve surgical precision, enhance diagnostic accuracy, and streamline hospital workflows.
AI-Powered Innovations Across Taiwanese Hospitals
At the recent COMPUTEX trade show in Taipei, NVIDIA highlighted collaborations with leading Taiwanese medical centers such as Cathay General Hospital, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (CGMH), National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH), and Taichung Veterans General Hospital (TCVGH). These institutions are integrating smart hospital technologies to combat challenges like overcrowding, aging populations, and a shortage of medical professionals.
Chang Gung Memorial Hospital
CGMH is leveraging NVIDIA's Holoscan platform to enhance its AI-powered colonoscopy procedures. This technology supports real-time identification and classification of colonic polyps, significantly improving diagnostic efficiency. CGMH's infrastructure employs NVIDIA DGX systems and MONAI framework, facilitating accelerated medical research and detailed imaging analysis.
Cathay General Hospital
In collaboration with Onyx and aetherAI, Cathay General Hospital has developed an AI-assisted colonoscopy system, which detects polyps with up to 95.8% accuracy. This system, using the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier module, enhances diagnostic precision, aiding physicians in making informed treatment decisions.
National Taiwan University Hospital
NTUH is implementing AI imaging to improve the accuracy and speed of diagnosing cardiovascular and liver conditions. The HeaortaNet model, trained on extensive datasets, facilitates rapid analysis of CT scans, while a liver cancer detection system using NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX helps in real-time tumor identification during ultrasounds.
Taichung Veterans General Hospital
TCVGH, in partnership with Foxconn, is deploying AI systems for early breast cancer detection and enhancing hospital operations with smart robotics. The use of NVIDIA's Omniverse platform allows for the creation of digital twins of hospital environments, optimizing the deployment of service robots and improving overall care efficiency.
These pioneering efforts by Taiwanese hospitals demonstrate the transformative potential of AI in healthcare, offering solutions to pressing global health challenges and setting a benchmark for future innovations.
