The Sei Network has announced the launch of its AI Accelathon, an ambitious initiative offering up to $1 million in prizes and seed funding to developers who create innovative AI solutions. This competition aims to accelerate the development of autonomous on-chain intelligence by leveraging the Sei Network's high-performance infrastructure, according to Sei.
AI Accelathon Overview
The AI Accelathon is designed to push the boundaries of AI technology. Participants are encouraged to build platforms and products that enhance decentralized finance (DeFi), payments, consumer platforms, and AI infrastructure. The Sei Network's infrastructure, known for its performance and reliability, serves as the backbone for these developments.
Competition Structure and Prizes
The competition features six distinct tracks, each with its own set of goals and evaluation criteria. Participants will vie for a share of the $1 million prize pool, which includes a $75,000 grand prize for the best overall project. The tracks cover areas such as DeFi and payments, consumer agents, tooling and infrastructure, frontier technology, unexpected AI uses, and a bonus track specifically for university students.
Key dates for the competition include the opening of submissions on June 24, with a deadline set for August 5. Following the submission period, a judging panel will evaluate the entries, with winners to be announced on August 18. The competition culminates in a virtual VC pitch event on August 20, where the top projects will present their solutions to a panel of investors.

The AI Accelathon is supported by several key partners, including AWS, Alchemy, and Crossmint, among others. These partnerships provide participants with access to a range of tools and resources to aid in their development efforts. Additionally, the Sei Development Foundation offers guidance and support throughout the competition.
Submission Requirements
Participants must submit a public GitHub repository, a recorded demo, and a detailed description of how their project addresses the goals of their chosen track. Projects are also required to have an active social media presence and integrate with the Sei Network.
