The Sei Creator Fund's fifth round concluded, distributing over 1 million SEI tokens to video content creators, enhancing community engagement and content quality.
The fifth round of the Sei Creator Fund, focusing on video content creation and community engagement, has successfully concluded, distributing 1,066,098 SEI tokens, equivalent to approximately $250,000, to participating creators. The initiative, coordinated in partnership with Gitcoin, underscores the growing influence and reach of the Sei content creator community, according to Sei.
Round Overview
Running from January 28 to February 10, 2025, the round targeted creators producing a variety of video content, including live streams and short-form videos. Over 180 creators participated, showcasing the vibrant creativity within the Sei ecosystem. The partnership with Gitcoin has been instrumental in ensuring fair distribution of funds through advanced methodologies.
Funding Distribution & Sybil Resistance
The Gitcoin team employed the Connection-Oriented Cluster-Matching (COCM) methodology to ensure a fair and Sybil-resistant distribution of funds. This approach effectively identified projects with genuine community backing, thus ensuring the integrity of the funding process. The COCM method highlighted outlier voting patterns that might indicate coordinated behavior, thus safeguarding against potential manipulation and ensuring that funding was directed toward projects with authentic community support.
Top Performing Projects
The top 10 projects, as determined by the final COCM calculations, received the highest matching funds. Detailed results and a full list of projects can be accessed on the Gitcoin platform.

Engagement Challenge Winners
The engagement challenge recognized creators who excelled in community interaction and reach. Winners included @shelleymaeph, @0xhess, @xreinbow, @carter_ox, and @IRA_therabbit, each receiving 5,000 SEI from a bonus pool dedicated to rewarding outstanding engagement.
Redacted Bonus Reveal
A structured bonus system was also announced, distributing a 100,000 SEI redacted bonus to the top 20 projects. This distribution is split into an immediate release of 25,000 SEI and a delayed release of 75,000 SEI, unlocking six months later, to promote sustained ecosystem engagement.

The conclusion of Round 5 marks another milestone in Sei's community-driven growth strategy. Plans are underway to expand the ecosystem's funding initiatives, with future announcements expected regarding the Builder Fund, which will focus on supporting technical development and infrastructure.
