Render Network announces new product updates for 2025, including enhanced DCC support, Blender Cycles integration, and the introduction of differential uploads to streamline artist workflows.

Render Network has announced a series of updates and innovations for 2025, focusing on enhancing the experience for 3D artists and studios. These updates were discussed during an interview between Dino Muhić, Director of Product at OTOY, and Andrey Lebrov, showcasing the network's commitment to improving artist workflows and expanding its integration capabilities.
Expanded DCC Support
Render Network continues to expand support for various Digital Content Creation (DCC) tools. Currently, it supports Octane via ORBX in Octane Standalone and has integrated the Cinema 4D Wizard and Redshift, which is now in open beta. Blender with Cycles is in a closed beta phase, indicating the network's ongoing efforts to include more platforms, enhancing accessibility for artists.
Blender Cycles Integration
One of the significant updates is the closed beta of Blender Cycles integration. This development aims to streamline the integration process based on insights from previous DCC integrations. The Render Network team anticipates that the Blender Cycles integration will soon be available to the public, allowing artists to take advantage of its capabilities.
Introducing Differential Uploads
The differential uploads feature is designed to optimize workflow efficiency by preventing the re-upload of unchanged assets. This feature significantly reduces upload times, which is particularly beneficial for teams collaborating across different time zones. It allows for seamless scene revisions by only updating changed elements, as demonstrated in projects like Amazon’s ‘The Peripheral’.
Render Network Manager Enhancements
The Render Network Manager has been updated to facilitate faster uploads, parallel downloads, and automated job management. The differential uploads feature is a key component, enabling artists to work more efficiently by reducing manual uploads and adjustments.
Presets for Streamlined Workflows
Render Network is introducing a presets feature to automate rendering workflows. Initially accessible through API, this feature will soon be available in the Octane Web App, allowing users to reuse settings across multiple scenes effortlessly. This update aims to simplify project setups and enhance rendering consistency.
Artist-Centric Development
Dino Muhić emphasizes the importance of an artist-friendly experience in the development of Render Network tools. The goal is to make creative processes seamless, reducing unnecessary manual work and allowing artists to focus on their craft. The network plans to continue refining its tools to support this mission.
