Overview
X-minus is an online application that can remove vocals from songs using AI technology. It is designed to help users create high quality karaoke versions of songs by isolating and removing the vocal parts.
Key Features
- Removes vocals from audio files using advanced AI algorithms
- Works with MP3, WAV, FLAC and other common audio formats
- Allows uploading files up to 150MB in size
- Outputs a high quality instrumental version with vocals removed
- Also can isolate and extract vocal parts (acapella)
- Web-based app that works in any modern browser
- Free to use with no login required
- Unlimited usage with no caps on uploads or processing
- Fast processing time - results usually ready in under a minute
How It Works
X-minus utilizes cutting-edge artificial intelligence and deep learning to analyze audio files and separate the vocal and instrumental elements. The algorithms are trained on huge datasets of songs in order to learn the acoustic properties of different instruments and vocals.
When a user uploads an audio file, the AI analyzes the waveform and spectrogram data to detect the characteristics of the vocals, such as pitch, timbre and rhythm. It then isolates the vocal parts and removes them from the rest of the instrumentation. Advanced filtering techniques ensure that the vocals are cleanly separated while preserving background details in the music.
The result is a high quality instrumental version of the song with the vocals stripped out. The isolated vocal track is also available to download as an acapella. The entire process is done in the cloud and delivered back to the user within seconds.
Audio Format Support
X-minus accepts all common audio formats including:
- MP3 - MPEG-1/2 Audio Layer III (.mp3)
- WAV - Waveform Audio File Format (.wav)
- FLAC - Free Lossless Audio Codec (.flac)
- AIFF - Audio Interchange File Format (.aiff)
- AAC - Advanced Audio Coding (.aac)
- M4A - MPEG-4 Audio (.m4a)
- OGG - Ogg Vorbis Codec (.ogg)
For best results, stereo audio files encoded at 44.1kHz or 48kHz sampling rate are recommended. Higher sample rates and bit depths will preserve more detail when processing.
File size is limited to 150MB per upload which allows ample space for high quality music. For larger files, audio editing software can be used to downsample or split into segments before uploading.
Usage Limits
X-minus is fully free to use with no limits imposed on uploads or processing. Users can utilize it as often as required without any caps or throttling. This allows quick iteration and experimentation to achieve the desired results.
Being serverless and hosted in the cloud, X-minus can handle heavy workloads and large
