NVIDIA Unveils GeForce NOW for Enhanced Game AI and Developer Access
NVIDIA has announced significant advancements in its cloud gaming service, GeForce NOW, aimed at providing developers and publishers with innovative tools to enhance gaming experiences through AI. This development, revealed during the Gamer Developer’s Conference (GDC) 2025, showcases NVIDIA's commitment to broadening the accessibility of AI-enhanced games by leveraging cloud capabilities.
AI Integration and Cloud-Based Gaming
GeForce NOW is set to revolutionize the gaming industry by offloading AI inference tasks to the cloud, thereby reducing the local GPU requirements for gamers. This move allows developers to integrate sophisticated AI features into their games without necessitating high-powered local hardware. By utilizing NVIDIA Cloud Functions, developers can seamlessly onboard AI functions, making advanced gaming experiences more accessible.
Through its extensive network, spanning over 100 countries and more than 35 data centers, GeForce NOW offers a scalable solution that supports a range of GPUs, including NVIDIA L40s. Plans to expand this network further into India, Thailand, and Vietnam are underway, promising to increase its global reach.
Streamlined Game Preview and Review Process
NVIDIA's GeForce NOW also provides developers with a robust platform for game previews and reviews. By harnessing the power of cloud infrastructure, developers can ensure that reviewers experience their games on high-end hardware, regardless of their local devices. This setup eliminates compatibility issues and allows for seamless access to games, facilitating a smoother review process.
In collaboration with Ubisoft, NVIDIA enabled over 170 press members and content creators to access Assassin’s Creed Shadows for reviews, demonstrating the platform's capability to deliver consistent and secure game review experiences.
Expanding Access and Features
The service not only democratizes access to high-quality gaming experiences but also offers features such as digital watermarking, secure access control, and game session insights. These functionalities support developers in maintaining control over their game distribution and review processes.
NVIDIA's focus on cloud-based AI inference and its existing infrastructure ensures that developers can continue to innovate and deliver captivating gaming experiences to a wider audience. For more information, visit the NVIDIA blog.
