The HKMA has reported that these fraudulent websites have been brought to their attention by DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited. The websites in question are designed to deceive users into providing sensitive personal information such as login passwords or One-Time Passwords (OTPs).
HKMA's Advisory
The HKMA emphasizes that legitimate banks will never send SMS or emails containing embedded hyperlinks directing users to the banks’ websites for transactions. They also reiterate that banks will not request sensitive personal information over the phone, through email, or via SMS, including any embedded hyperlinks.

Individuals who have inadvertently provided personal information or conducted financial transactions through these fraudulent websites are urged to contact DBS Bank using the contact details provided in the press release. Additionally, affected parties should report the incident to the Hong Kong Police Force's Crime Wing Information Centre at 2860 5012.
