Ethereum Launches Devconnect ARG Scholars Program for Emerging Leaders
Ethereum has unveiled an ambitious initiative, the Devconnect ARG Scholars Program, aimed at fostering new connections between the Ethereum ecosystem and various global communities, industries, and creative sectors. This program, part of the upcoming Devconnect ARG 2025, seeks to engage 100 leaders who are poised to expand Ethereum's reach and influence, according to Ethereum's blog.
Program Overview
The Devconnect Scholars Program is designed to facilitate co-learning and co-creation among participants, who will work to bridge Ethereum with other sectors. The 2025 cohort will feature participants from five distinct categories: Ethereum Community Organizers, Legal & Public Sector Professionals, Journalists, Artists, and Developers & Other Builders. The program is scheduled to kick off in late August with virtual sessions and culminate after the Devconnect event in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in late November.
Support and Structure
The program offers financial support tailored to individual needs, covering expenses such as accommodation, flights, visa applications, daily allowances, and event tickets. Notably, financial need does not influence program acceptance, ensuring inclusivity for all applicants. Throughout the program, scholars will engage in pre-Devconnect community activities, mentorship, and skill enhancement sessions, all aimed at fostering enduring relationships and knowledge exchange.
Eligibility and Application Process
The program is open to individuals who have not previously attended Devcon or Devconnect. Applicants must be willing to commit approximately three hours per week over three months for online sessions, assignments, and collaborative projects. The application process, open until June 30, 2025, encourages participants to apply to one or more categories, with selections made across diverse fields such as community leadership, legal expertise, journalism, art, and development.
Program Categories
Applicants can choose from the following categories:
- Ethereum Community Organizers: Targeting existing and potential Ethereum contributors, including community leaders and field pioneers.
